Anna Rowell is a student, living in Redmond, Washington.

She has been writing short fiction for years, and now is publishing her first full-length middle-grade fantasy work, “The Wand of Imperium”. She also enjoys public speaking and studied ballet for nine years, including starring as young Clara in Nutcracker one Christmas season. Anna even qualified for a ham radio operator’s license when she was only 11.

She is well traveled, having visited Europe and the South Pacific as well as the US and Canada, which has helped her in crafting her own world in which this new story is set.

She has a lively German Shepherd named Sophie. It took Anna a single car ride to come up with Sophie’s name, but in her writing, Anna dives deep into etymology and hidden meanings to create perfectly fitting names for her characters.

On occasion, she regrets her solemn promise to do all the caring and cleaning up for Sophie.
